December 10 – Saint John Roberts

He was Welsh and, even though he was not Catholic, he took classes given by a priest. After his elemental education, he attended the university in Oxford. Later he studied in France where he decided to join the Catholic Church and became a Benedictine monk. He later returned to England, but there he was persecuted for his faith and condemned to die by gallows. They say, the night before, though knowing he would die, he showed great joy.

Can you see the difficulties in your life with great joy?
