August 31 - Saint Dominique de Val

He was  a young man of the 13th century who distinguished himself for his piety and fervor. He liked to be an altar server and studied at the Cathedral of Zaragossa, which at the time was also a school. One day, when he was going home from school, he was arrested and killed. His remains were thrown on the River Ebro, from where a strange light started to come up. The people soon acclaimed Dominique as a saint.
