April 1 – Hugh of Grenoble

With the popularity of the movie Hugo, it would seem like a very modern name. And yet it belongs to two saints who lived at the end of the 11th century and in the beginning of the 12th. One was an abbot and the other, whose feast day we celebrate today, was named bishop when he was just 27 years old! He would have preferred to have done something else, but remained loyal to the popes with whom he worked with for 52 years.

Is there any responsibility or position that you never want to assume? Is your age sometimes an excuse not to do certain things?
