Today one of the most central mysteries of our faith is celebrated. The fact that God took on our human nature, became one of us, is so admirable and awesome that it should fill us with joy. God takes on human flesh through Mary, a simple woman of our people who, despite all the difficulties she knows she will face, says yes. In some ways, when we say yes to God, we continue to open the door for God to be present in our world.
