Sylvester was a Pope during the 4th century. According to history in the beginning Emperor Constantine persecuted the Pope and the Church. When Constantine contracted leprosy, he had a dream of Peter and Paul speaking to him. The dream told him to seek St. Sylvester in search of a cure.  Constantine did and was baptized, and from that moment on, the emperor not only consented, he promoted the Christian faith. 

On this last day of the year, what events of the past year am I grateful for? What blessing have I received?
