Olympias belonged to a wealthy family of Constantinople. Orphaned as a child, Olympias was given to the care of a Christian woman. She married Nebridius, but was widowed soon after. She did not wish to marry again and dedicated her life to doing works of charity. She established an orphanage and a chapel, and helped many people. St. Olympias’ generosity changed the life of many people.
