He was a young English student who was also a great speaker. Edmund had a very kind and nice personality and with many talents. Even the queen of England liked him. But Edmund was a Catholic and was soon persecuted, so he fled from England. Edmund joined the Society of Jesus, and when the pope asked the Jesuits to travel to England, Edmund was of the first to go. He preached in England although he lived hidden. When he was finally arrested, the queen visited him and begged that he leave his faith. Before his execution, Edmund forgave the man who had betrayed him.
