November 21 – Christ the King
“Remember me, Jesus, when you come as King.” Luke 23:42
To remember is to bring to our heart again. It is not only an exercise of the mind, but one of affection. When we ask Jesus to remember us, in reality we are asking him to love us again. But He does no love us any less. Perhaps the ones who need to remember his love is us. When we are feeling down, discouraged or tired, we must ask Jesus to take us in his heart; we are asking him to take us into his loving heart where we are renewed. And like the good thief, we become a person again.
Which losses or fatigues oppress you the most? How can you return to the heart of Jesus?
