He was born in Ukraine in 1580. Josaphat became a monk of the Order of Saint Basil. Because of his great qualities, he was chosen for lead roles. He was the ecumenicalism apostle, preaching Christian unity. He was named bishop of Polotsk and lived the next years helping people to better understand their faith. Josaphat worked with the clergy and had a great positive influence on the people. Unfortunately, there is always jealousy and distrust, and Josephat was assassinated.
