The death of the people we love always hurts. In a certain way it feels as if a part of us is gone. But on the other hand, we also receive a lot. We receive the value of life, while a part of who we are can be attributed to this person or the people who are no longer among us. Then, we receive new life. The feast day of All Souls is a celebration, not of death, but of the life of all those who enjoy peace and the eternal life that is God.
