After being ordained a priest, he dedicated himself to the popular missions in Spain, tirelessly walking. He was convinced of the strength of the written word and wrote many books on popular circulation. Anthony founded the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (today known as the Claretians). He was a reformer and had enemies, but he never backed down in fulfilling his mission.
