Catholicism flourished in Korea thanks to the great courage and dedication of many lay people, and to the blood of their martyrs. Andrew Kim and his companions gave their lives for the faith and particularly for the faith in Korea since Andrew risked his life several times by returning from China to his native country to spread the faith in Jesus.
