August 25 – Saint Louis IX, king
His mother, queen Blanche, instilled in him deep faith, and when Louis took the throne, he became a prominent king. He married Margaret and with her, who he deeply loved, had eleven children. Louis was a good husband and a good father. He attended Mass every day and was well known for his good deeds with the poor, for his assistance in education and his founding of monasteries. One time, he felt the obligation to help the Christians of the Holy Land. He was imprisoned in a crusade and always behaved like a true Christian gentleman. He died from typhus in 1270.
From who did you receive the faith? Do you remember a special act that changed your path of faith?
