August 21 – Saint Pius X

Pope Pius X was known as the saint of the Eucharist. He encouraged everyone to receive communion as often as he could and issued a decree to allow children the opportunity to receive communion at a younger age. After the start of World War I, Pius X suffered and said he would give his life to save the children from so much suffering brought on from the war. He helped many of the poor, without keeping anything for himself.

What is your most central devotion? Do you frequently turn to the Eucharist?
