August 17 – Saint Jeanne Delanoue
She was the youngest of her twelve brothers. Her parents had a small business and, after the death of her mother, Jeanne was left in charge. Soon she became corrupt in order to gain more money. But she was unhappy. When she was twenty seven years old, a priest helped her return to the faith. Since then, she began to give generously. At the end, she closed the store and dedicated herself completely to serving the poor. She had her house filled with orphans. She convinced other young adults to join her and they founded the Congregation of Saint Anne of Providence.
Have you ever felt that you did things that did not bring you happiness?
