All of the Hungarian Court, as well as Stephen’s father, became Christian. But when Stephen became the king of Hungary, the country was still very Pagan. Stephen took the faith to all of his people through his devotion to the Virgin. Stephen was a firm leader, but very kind to all the poor, even after some of them, at one moment or another, mistreated him. He would always forgive and continued to offer his generous help to all.
