July 9 - Martyrs of Orange

They were a group of 32 nuns from various religious congregations, who were martyred for their faith during the French Revolution. The revolutionary government told the nuns they had to swear loyalty to the revolution’s leaders. They refused and were imprisoned. During their imprisonment they formed a new community of support, prayer, and faith. Over the span of several days, they were taken one by one to the guillotine.

During times of difficulty have you found support and encouragement in your community of faith or youth group?
