June 25 – Saint William of Vercelli

William was a hermit in the 11th centuty, who became famous for a miracle he made. But he did not like the fame or to be known, so he transferred to another place to be alone. But there other men followed him who built a monastery. After some times, the monks began to complain that rules were too strict. William did not want to relax the rules for himself, but appointed a prior for those who wanted something less strict and he left to another place with five monks who followed.

Sometime later, the people began to protest that William had an influence over the kind and wanted to persecute and tempt him, but they were unable to separate him from his style of living simple and in prayer.

Do I persevere even in times where difficulties in relationships arise? Am I easily tired?
