May 8 - Saint Peter of Tarentaise

Born in France in the 12th century, he was appointed archbishop of Tarentaise replacing an archbishop who had been accused of corruption. Peter reformed the diocese and helped the poor. He repeatedly visited the entire diocese.  After completing these works, he “disappeared” for a year and was devoted to prayer. When he was located, Peter was persuaded to return. St. Peter of Tarentaise returned to devote himself with energy to the poor.

What is your heart asking you to do? Does it coincide with what others ask of you?
