May 7- Saint Stanislaus of Cracow

He was a “surprise” baby since his Polish parents, Belislaus and Bogna, were married for 30 years before the birth of Stanislaus. He was described as sweet, humble, and peaceful. He was never arrogant or allowed himself to be carried away by anger. He was simple and had an open heart. Stanislaus was ordained a priest. He soon realized the king, who had many talents, had become egotistical and denounced his cruelties and injustices. The king became furious, considered him and enemy he needed to eliminate. King Boleslaus himself murdered St. Stanislaus while the bishop was saying Mass in the church.
