Mark is the author of the second gospel and not much is known of him besides the fact that he was the cousin of Barnabas, one of the most faithful companions of Paul in his journeys. Mark also accompanied them in their evangelization journeys. Perhaps he was the one who took into account Peter’s sermons. It seems he spread the gospel throughout various countries.
