April 9 - Saint John the Almsgiver
He was the patriarch of Alexandria and it is said that he had a large number of indigent, which he assisted daily. Someone told him that among them there were many lazy people and John responded that he preferred to be wrong a thousand times than offend the law of charity. His cash box was never empty.
