March 21 - Saint Benedict
The son of a family of the Italian nobility in the 5th century, Benedict was always inclined to the things of God. In Rome he was attending public school, but he was in shock at the bad habits of young people and ran away to the mountains. A little later fame of his holiness spread throughout the country and people went to listen to his advice and words of faith. Many young people also went to him and started opening monasteries under his direction. Today his work is known as the Benedictine Order, who are dedicated to the liturgy and to hospitality.
How do you receive those who come to visit you? Could they leave with the feeling that you have offered them peace and joy?
