March 5 – Saint John Joseph of the Cross
Born in Italy in the 17th century, he was from a noble family, but always lived poorly. When he was 16 years old, he joined the Franciscan Order, embracing his vocation and his new life with great joy. Later he was ordained a priest. He never wished to be the center of attention and was distinguished for his kindness and his service.
Do I sometimes look to be the center of attention? What is the best part of me that I can give in service?
