February 14 - Saints Cyril and Methodius

Saints Cyril and Methodius were two Greek brothers of the 9th century. They became missionaries in Central Europe and they soon realized that the message of Christ had to reach people in their own languages. They invented an alphabet  now known as Cyrilic and preached tirelessly. They are the patrons of Europe.
