St. Anthony was a 3rd century saint who came from a very wealthy family. When his parents died, he was left in charge of a large inheritance and the care of his younger sister. Anthony felt overwhelmed by the responsibility and six months later he gave all he had to the poor, leaving only enough for the sustenance of his sister. Both, St. Anthony and his sister, dedicated their lives from then on to a life of prayer.
