They were six Franciscan friars who accepted to go on a mission to Morocco. They first arrived in Seville, Spain, where they preached in the public squares and streets. People thought they were crazy. Then they traveled to Marrakeh, where the Sultan at first gave them permission to preach and protected them. But many people protested and, after a lot of tension and conflict, the Sultan asked them to leave. When they didn't the Sultan ordered their execution.
