January 10 - Saint William

William was a young Cistercian monk who, regardless of how difficult or harsh the circumstances, always showed joy. He only found it difficult to accept the praise and admiration of people. He simply wanted to do God’s will. William was appointed Abbot of the monastery and later archbishop. His pastoral work led him to personally care for the poor and the sick. William celebrated the Eucharist with great fervor and preached the faith.

How do I respond to praise? And to criticism?
